Arabescato Corchia is an Italian marble from the Apuan Alps (Tuscany), quarried in the Monte Corchia area. It is renowned for its ivory-white background crossed by grey to dark-grey veining, sometimes with grey-blue accents. The pattern is brecciated—light clasts set within a darker matrix—creating movement and strong visual impact, ideal for interior cladding, flooring, countertops, and bespoke furnishings.

Design in details → what makes “Arabescato Corchia” unique

Origin: it takes its name from Monte Corchia; today it is quarried underground in the Apuan area, at around 1,300 m above sea level—an area with a long-standing stoneworking tradition (Carrara).

Appearance: an ivory-white background with grey, sometimes grey-blue veining, arranged in an arabesque, brecciated pattern. Each slab differs in intensity and vein movement, offering an elegant yet dynamic aesthetic.

Recommended uses: interior wall cladding and flooring, feature walls, bathroom and kitchen countertops, and furniture elements; use for kitchen tops requires proper protection and maintenance, as with all marbles.

Available finishes: polished, honed, brushed; additional surface treatments are possible to achieve tactile or anti-slip effects, depending on the project.

Performance and maintenance

Marble is a natural carbonate stone: the use of a high-quality water- and oil-repellent protective sealer is recommended, along with maintenance using neutral detergents; avoid acids and abrasive substances. (General guidelines for marbles.)

For performance-related specifications of the finished product, reference should be made to industry standards for natural stone (e.g. ASTM C503 for marble cladding and EN 1469/12057 for slabs and modular tiles).

Why choose it

Arabescato Corchia combines Apuan heritage with a strong aesthetic identity: its brecciated veining creates iconic, timeless surfaces, equally suited to classic interiors and contemporary projects with character.
